Spiritual Journey
He got it, he was settled with it and was ready for his spiritual marathon journey. Somebody in command over spiritual power had to give him GO signal. Course was already chalked out and he met Swami Samarth of Akkalkot, undisputable master of spiritual power. He was blessed with his grace called Dristi diksha and initiated him into spiritual discourse. Swami Samarth sent a message to Mirza Sinia in his state of unconsciousness (Drishant) and he called baba to Akkalkot. Swami adored him with a Mantra Akkalkot Niwasi Shri Dattaswaroopay Namah Baba then returned to Mumbai to start Avtar Karya (Spiritual Journey. He identified Dongri and Bhendi Bazar area of south Bombay as his working place (Karmabhumi) and was seen roaming on the streets of Dongri and Bhendi Bazar. He had always carried a stick and one sphere like iron object. He had different appearances, body covered partially or full with clothes. Sometimes, he used to roam without any clothes over his body (Digambar state). Because of such appearance (naked body), people used to keep distance from him. Like other spiritual leaders, he had demonstrated divine games and make them realize their misinterpretation of his spiritual power on basis of appearance. Many believers of almighty strength were influenced by his divine games and became his followers. Many such people used to approach him with problems and some desires. He used to hammer them with stick and one used to get his favor done. With his unusual technique evolved out of his spiritual eminence, he had cured many sufferers. News was spread around attracting many of his devotees.
Guruparampara
Spiritual discourses are planned in advance through tradition of Guruparampara. Guru (spiritual master) identifies his disciple to continue the tradition and evolves another guru. One day, Baba Rehman happened to be at famous well of parsi community near oval maidan in Churchget area of Mumbai where he met Sadguru Satam Maharaj. Baba Rehman interacted with him and said Almighty has guided me to a light (spiritual eminence) and has now asked me to guide you to the same. Earlier process of spiritual initiation was repeated , this time between Baba Rehman and Sadguru Satam Maharaj. Spiritual power of consciousness dawned on him to push him into the state of spiritual ecstasy. Through Dristi Diksha, he helped him to attain perfect enlightment and supreme state of perfection.
Sadguru Satam Maharaj used to visit Baithak (a place where baba used to deliver spiritual sermons). This place was located in the premises of Dogri police station. Sometimes, Baba used to visit his beloved disciple. Soon, after dristi diksha, Sadguru Satam Maharaj started his Tapasya (penance). He visited many pilgrim centres all over India and then settled in a place called Danoli near Sawantwadi in Sindhdurga district of Maharastra. Danoli was Karmabhoomi of Sadguru Satam Maharaj.
One day, suddenly, Sadguru started crying loudly. His devotees asked him the reason and he said I have lost my Guru. Soon after that, news of Babas departure to heavenly abode came. He signed off his physical existence on the earth on 27 th December 1916 when he was 125 year old.
Baba Dargah and Baithak
As per his wish, his last resting place on the earth was in Chhatri sarang Mohalla on Tandel street of Dongari . This was the place where he continued his physical existence during his spiritual journey on earth. His devotees constructed Dargah.
In the premises of currently existing police station of Dongri, there was rocky hill like area where Baba used to spent time , offer his Namaz and used to deliver sermons to his devotees. When he concluded his journey in his physical existence on earth, Dongari police station took over expansion and renovation work and attempted to get rid of rocky area with the help of dynamite which had never exploded. Instead, there was bloodlike discharge from locations when dynamite was planted. The specimens of the discharge was tested in laboratory and was confirmed to be human blood. Police commissioner of Dongari police station visited dargah in sarang mohalla and blood discharge was stopped. Later, this area (baithak) was cordoned with wall. Many devotees visit this place to get blessing of Rehman baba.
On 1 Jamadil Awwal as per Urdu calendar, there is a 10 day celebration called Oorus During this period, many processions visit sarang mohalla dargah called Sandal. On fifth day, Dongri police station takes out the procession from Baithak of Baba Rehman. Celebration concludes on 10 th day to distribute different kinds of food (Niyaz) to poors and devotees.
Among devotees of Baba Rehman, there are Hindus as well as Muslims. These devotees continue to visit holy places i. e. Baithak and Dargah. Divine games (Chamatkar) still continues even when he is not in his physical existence on the earth. Devotees are still benefited from his blessing when they approach the above holy places. This is a never ending process.
